Lockers - c'mon, learn to drive! You don't need to spend that money if you can pick a good line.
Axle upgrades - the manufacturer made these with perfectly good components that were tested. Bigger axles add unnecessary weight.
Winches - see the lockers comment. Oh, look at me, I add 90 lbs to the front end because I can't get up stuff. Morons.
Sway bar disconnects - front and rear sway bars again are a manufacturer requirement. Why disconnect them?
Jeepspeed -it's called low range, kids.
OK...that is all the stuff I can think of that is ridiculous to trash talk
. I in no way dislike any of those things, and have done them all except Jeepspeed to mine. My for real issues
:
-***** (of the scrotal variety) on hitches, as mentioned. Have not seen it much on Jeeps, but cannot understand it.
- Super high lifts with 35+ tires on short arms and unlocked stock axles. Definitely given a pass if they are saving up for the other stuff...but if that is the end of the build, you did it for looks. I hate that.
-Big K&N cone sitting in the stock air box location under far too many hoods.
-People who insist their XJ is really fast. It may be on the fast end among other XJ's and Jeeps, but lets not pretend it is fast in the general spectrum of vehicles.
-People who's bass notes in the stereo system loosen your Jeep's bolts from a half mile away. I like bass, too, but isn't there a point where you are just doing it to shake other people's vehicles?
Like someone else said, most people here hate a lot of my jeep. ha!
