Run the air through the fire wall, that way there's not a huge PVC stick coming out of the side if you jeep

I feel like if i had one id just smash it on a tree or rock and break it.

Cowl snorkel is the way to go imo

Don't use PVC. It doesn't dissipate heat. Actually, doesn't it insulate? Causing it to progressively get hotter? Again, bam. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/my...snorkle-67919/

Edit.. I know, I know, it's PVC.. But it s the idea.

I would never run one on my rockcrawler. It would be destroyed real quick.

Is that pic of you just sitting at ride height?
no that is that tire all the way as high as i could get it with the front pass completely tucked to the bump stop

I guess "the right setup" to you is a ton of lift, shocks mounted in the factory location on the axle hogging tons of ground clearance, tiny tires, narrow track width, and stiff springs.

On top of that, you must not wheel all that hard to not have any bottoming out going on.
for one you are losing travel when you move your axle shock mount up just weld some 1/4 inch plate on it bc you will have a smaller shock. i am running 32's and getting 33's KM2's when i have money. and yeah i am running stock wheel width bc trails i go down you wouldn't fit. also i have 4.5 inch leaf with 2.5 inch shackles so i have tons of travel in the back. and i just wheeled yesterday and had it on on 3 wheels. i only use easy trails to get to the trails that actully my xj was built for.

You still have awful ground clearance.

I ran half your lift with more tire, and lots of bumpstop (which was used not only when flexing, but on hard hits and landings).

4.5" lift, 35's, 8" travel shocks, stock upper location, raised lowers, bumpstops.

Bumpstops allow longer travel shocks, longer travel shocks allow more articulation.

That's what I'm always afraid of. Either water coming up on the hood after diving or it simply raining I still don't see how it wouldn't just get sucked in

1. massive stingers on rigs you know will NEVER ACTUALLY NEED THEM.
2. Roof racks with a bunch of poser garbage on top. Are you camping 24/7 or what?
3. Tires on the roof as mentioned earlier...
4. Snorkels on rigs that will NEVER ACTUALLY NEED THEM.
5. Angry eyes...just, whatever.
6. Shovel type front bumpers...nuff said.
7. Cold air intakes
8. TJ flares. In some places you have to have someting legal but i still hate them.
9. JK rims on an xj. U think they rock, i think they look retarded. Thats just me.
10. CAD brackets...i understand the purpose but i just think there is a better way.
11. Auto to manual or vice versa...cherokees are cheap, just get the one you want in the first place!
12. Hood spacers...looks silly.
13. Badly done chop tops.
14. Homebrew sliders that kill ground clearance.
15. Dual steering stabilizers.
16. Aftermarket sway bar disconnect kits....just take it off man.
17. 'Rubicon' stickers on an XJ. Just go buy one and end the pain.
18. Rough Country. I'm sorry. Read too many bad experiences.

k i gotta stop, probably making too many enemies now.
