Default breaking down the vin

I'm looking at a rear axle (Chrysler 8.25) but I wanna check the gearing before I buy it. I got the Vin but can figure out the gear ratio. I have 3.55 in my Dana 35 right now. If it's geared lower I might just buy both axles. Here is the Vin any help would be great.

There's a tag on the axles. What does it say?

There isn't a tag on ether axle that's why I was hoping the Vin would say, or if anyone knows the pinion and ring gear teeth count for 3.55 gears that would work

Pull the cover. Rotate the ring gear till you see numbers like 11:43 for example. Divide 43 by 11 and that's the gear ratio. 43/11 = 3.90.

You can run the vin# through Chry (very fast) if a newer model XJ and if stock that will tell you the gear ratio. If its a 4.0 with an AW4 trans most likely its a 3.55 gear is what the majority were shipped with.

You could grab the front axle from a 91-99 xj 4.0 auto that will be 3.55 gear.
