I recently bought this 2000 Cherokee from a woman who liked to drive into things. It does however run very smooth with 152k miles. The jeep lives in Vermont so rust is always an issue on this old of a vehicle. I replaced the rocker panels, passenger side floor, and some rust on the back door. The rest of the body and frame looks good other than some very minor rust, for now. It has minor dents and scrapes all over which is fine, but this bumper really bugs me. I know basically nothing about body work so bear with me. I haven't looked up behind it or removed it yet. My question is, can I straighten this thing out? Check out these pictures. Any advice helps.
im not entirely sure about all jeeps but it should be the same to take it off as in this video, id take it off and inspect the brackets and bolts and all the hardware.
Id hit up a JY or even ebay to buy a replacement. Those end caps are just plastic, so you may be able to pop them off and get the dents out of them, the bumper though I doubt would be worth the time to try and repair.
