Just blew 600$ on A/C compressor manifold and orifice tube job + evac and recharge, and it still won't hold the charge for more that 3 or 4 days. Exactly as it was when took it in.
When I brought it back (for the third time) they quoted me another $1.800 to take apart my dash and change the evaporator. Needless to say they wouldn't admit to any bad judgement in their diagnosis so I get no break/discount for this new job. So I am out 600$ and still have NO a/c (freaking pissed). Could I get these famous pages the Ol' Blue has been generously handing out?
Thanks in advance.
PS - It's a 1999 Cherokee Classic, 4x4

yes, I went to the Dealership, they said only way to get is to buy there $285 evaporator, I already bought and installed an aftermarket evaporator, I need to find where I can get just the styrofoam it sits on, I thinkin I might need to get one out from the Junk yard
Ummmm, If it's not too much trouble Ol'Blue, I just aquired my Cherokee, I too need to replace my Condenser Coil. If you could be so kind to forward them to me as well, you would make my day! I'm Gonna give it a go, Any special tool/s I may need that could help? I read through this and Thank you for the hint about the foam gaskets, Never would have crossed my mind until I got to that point.

Hey guys. Air is blowing cold, especially when idle, it loses some oomph when I drive, but I am not too worried about that. Pressures are good. I think the evap leak may be fixed.
However, I've got a new issue.... Accumulator is NOT sweating and staying warmish. Same with the low pressure lines. WTF??
Those were getting pretty cold until the other day, and sweating like crazy.
Any ideas?
PS - By low pressure line I mean the one in the compressor manifold/hose set, with the service port. However, the line that runs through the firewall, then under the battery tray, and into the condenser IS cold and is sweating. Condensation is draining normally from under the car (and no dye in it).
