A/C Evaporator Core repair
Googled 1996 jeep grand cherokee evaporator core repair and this is where it brought me. It looks like i am in the right place. I have been procrastinating for over a year now on replacing the evap. core. I am hoping a pm from ol"blue will get me motivated. I have got the parts, the tools and the time but no desire. Thanks in advance.

Hi, i am planning on attempting to replace the evaporator in my truck as well. I have a 2001 Cherokee that i absolutely love and refuse to get rid of. (even though the maintanence is getting pretty costly) Would i be able to get a copy of the replacement instructions as well??
Thanks,
Pat

hi ol"blue
Google search brought me to this thread. I have a 2000 Xj sport that needs an evap core replacement and would greatly appreciate the DIY manual if you still have it. I have the parts and Haynes manual but figured your guide might provide useful info that Haynes may miss. Thanks in advance.

Hi ol' blue.....what can you help me with on a 1992 Cherokee Laredo? Not sure if the evaporator is leaking or not, but I am replacing all lines, compressor, drier, expansion valve. I have all new components except for the evaporator coil. Is there any difference in efficiencies of evaps as far as r-12 or r-134A? I read somewhere that the older evaps are not as efficient as newer ones. Does anyone make a R-134a specific evap for a 1992 Laredo? I am restoring this ol' girl, and want some cold air!

Hello ol" Blue, I just purchased my 1st jeep cherokee 2000 (XJ) I bought it knowing it has an electrical issues, I have found a connector at the RH junction block (int. fuse box) with a few wires melted together all the way up into the dash so I need to remove the dash panels atleast to see where these wires are going so i can replace them. Could it be possible to get dash panel removal instructions and a diagram of what all connectors at the junction block (int. fuse box) go to? I would greatly appreciate it thank you for any help.
