Brake pads to calipers

Default Brake pads to calipers

I'm trying to figure out what calipers my 01 grand limited 4wd has to get right pads

Call you local auto parts store they can tell you what it takes or use a Jeep parts online store like Quadratec to find them.

Autozone looked it up and the computer asked for the type of caliper for right size pad

Fred theres one or two years jeep used two different calipers that use different size pads.I believe you got the akebono ones but take a look for yourself http://www.nagca.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36861

You could have either the Teves or Akebono calipers. The Teves are much larger physically than the Akebono. You can find pictures of them on this forum or elsewhere on the net.

I'm 99.9% sure those are Akebono, you can tell by looking at them. Teves don't have two brackets like what I see in that pic.

Yes, those are Akebono. Teves have a spring clip stabilizing the caliper and Akebono have extended brackets that are much more efficient. I have the Teves and as soon as I need new calipers, I'm switching over.
