4wd Works in 4 low part time but not in 4 high

4wd Works in 4 low part time but not in 4 high
4wd doesnt work in 4 high full or part time i believe i have a 242 transfer case i do have a 4.5 life 2000 xj someone said check linkage but it works ok in 4 low part time but also when crawling up rocks the front dont spin like the back do so i am puzzled on what exactly going on
