Wish i could say the same.. But man i love to have a house that looks like it is sterile its so clean (at least on the outside) that way when everyone sees all the carnage in the garage they look that much more shocked

and yes im aware

But i dont have any progress to report right now.. I will say that i did get about 150 bucks out of all the junk i had in the garage.. Not bad. Getting paid to get your crap cleaned up..

Im getting ready to order the adapter from Novak so i will then be waiting on the mailman again.. Im still waiting on the mailman to bring my weld in bungs for the control arms on the El Camino too... Man i wish i could just teleport

I dont have too many shots of the Meano.. It is a Midnight Blue Metallic 86 with a 365HP 350 vette built engine (old LT1 clone) with little extra in the head porting and exhaust flow department.. Converted from ol man bench seat column shift to buckets and a 5 speed manual.. Self engineered hydraulic clutch setup for smoothness.. Home made pedals and pedal brackets.. 3.73 geared and locked rear axle converted to S10 disks in the rear with Fbody brakes up front.. Complete sleeper.. Clear windows, soon to have quiet exhaust.. But you know it has a cam in it still..

We will just say it is scary with such little weight in the back and such great power..

Oh and no,, i am not lifting it.. I am going to lower it slightly.. I am currently reengineering the rear suspension with a little grass roots performance.. Tubular arms and upper adjustable so i can play with pinion angle when i drop it.. Also i am going to build an entire new frame, with all new suspension up front and then switch frames and bodys.. going to have the floors and bed floor Rhino Lined so it is quieter inside. Waiting to find a good deal on a set of Stock S10 ZQ8 wheels 16s to throw on it.. Have frame just need to send to blaster and get cleaned up..

Of course this is really all for a different forum and totally

But hey.. You asked..

Well for some of you this may be disapointing but i think that i am going to go with fuel injection at least for a little while.. Gasoline fuel injection.. i have been posting on a few LS1 forums and have begun to find individual parts that i needed all at a really cheap price.. Seems that the upgrades the guys on there do leaves them with the stock parts which will do more than fine for my absolutely stock engine.. I have injectors and a rail now, i still need harness and PCM and also a MAF.. But again they are available and cheap too..

i will report that the adapter for the trans should be shipped out today, and i should get it by friday according to Novak.

Yeah.. I meant building another frame, as in rebuilding another frame.. Im going to box the frame.. brace the rear control arm mounts.. the normal.. Maybe a mini tub at the same time.. Anyhow back to the Jeep.. I got a little work done tonight.. I removed all the wiring from under the hood.. All of it.. I hacked off the wires coming out of the fire wall and will be reconnecting them with GM weatherpack connectors so that it can be disconnected as need be..

I also managed to remove the passenger side engine mount, and all the other misc. crap that will not be needed anymore. I removed the front bumper. driver side inner liner. Skid plate, the ancient towing brackets, started to remove the driver side engine bracket, but was stopped when i realized that that meant removing the driver side spring and then the track bar bracket.. so i stopped for the evening..

Pic of under hood area without any extras.

Anyone on here a Jeep wiring GURU?? Im wondering if the guages on the XJ are a direct loop to the engine sensors or are read by the PCM and then sent to the guage cluster.. I am trying not to have to hack into the factory guages.. but if it has to be done then oh well.. I also decided that i am going to mount the fuse cluster on the driver side wheel well. and route the harness for that all along the front xmember.. So that the LS harness can go the other way and the ECM can be mounted in the Glove box.. I will make a bulkhead for that connection at the firewall and then i will just have to pull one connector, undo the bellhousing, undo the fuel lines (using -8) and pull the engine.. I doubt i even have to pull the radiator since this engine is so much shorter than the 4.0..

If anyone has any PDFs of the factory wiring diagrams please feel free to shoot me an email..

Thanks guys.

Also i was thinking about removing that front xmember, and making a tubular one that was mounted much lower.. Allowing me to tuck the bumper that much closer up front and allowing me to mount that much larger of a radiator.. I dont think the stock jeep radiator will keep the LS cool but i guess anything is possible..

Or at least i hope

Yeah I dont think it would keep an LS cool at all haha. It may try to though

There's a couple guys on here who have cut out their front x-member and they welded a piece of 2x4 tube in there. It looks really clean and pretty cool IMO.

from what i can remember the gauges are on a loop, I know for a fact that they have a temp gauge for the cluster and one for the ECM. Hope that helps

The one for the gauge was located on the back drivers side of the engine(by the valve cover)
The one for the computer was located in the thermostat housing.

I am know atleast that gauge is , as far as the others i am not sure, because i know there is only 1 oil pressure sending unit.....
