I feel bad but I had NO time last night to work on the truck. The wife wanted to go to a movie, and since she works late tonight I had to.

However, since she works late tonight I have nothing to do except work on the XJ.

Thanks. She actually hangs out in the Jeep with me quite often...as long as I'm not welding or grinding. Gotta keep an eye on her, though, she chews wires.

Her name is Maynard, named after the lead singer of Tool. We were told she was a male when we got her. :/

I have nothing to do on my lunch hour today so I think I'm gonna finish taking out the carpet and misc trim leftovers. Maybe clean some mud off in a few places in prep to trim the rear quarter.

Carpet out. The metal didn't look as bad as I thought it would.

Since I've committed to removing all the trim and carpet I will need to find a new way to mount my ARB compressor.

I really like it tucked away in this cubby, but it could be damaged by cargo, so I will maybe make a small cage of sorts with some scrap metal I have.

I don't know if I would call it clean, but I greatly appreciate the compliment!

She is getting there though.

Last night I didn't get as much time as I had thought, I had to haul home some fire wood. I did however start on the project, and have a solid idea of what needs to happen.

I hit a snag, though. My air line drops through the floor right where I need to fold my quarter panel. So I need to relocate that line somewhere.

Compressors are fairly cheap, depending on which one you get. Its the locker that's expensive.

Are you just looking to have something to air up tires with? Cheaper ways are out there. But I love having a selectable locker, and if that's what your going for, get the ARB. I can't wait to lock my front.

I need to make some sort of box for the thing, I want to keep it near there but I don't want the plastic trim.

I should also mention that my compressor is an older model.

What's the best way to get rid of the last few bits of leftover carpet?

I can tell you burning is NOT the best way.

Try a claw hammer on that left over carpet. That is what I did and it seemed to pop it all off pretty well.
I like the progress your making man!
