Hahaha, the carpet is out. I was just waiting for my wife to bring dinner home, saw the carpet and remembered my lighter was in my pocket.

I've suggested fire more than once for carpet removal, figured I'd give it a go. It stunk. Bad.

Dang, just saw this post.

I think there are way better compressors out there for cheaper if your looking for something to just air up tires.

If your AC doesn't work you can turn the AC compressor into OBA.

Any particular ones you'd recommend? Cheap is good..would like to mount it in that random place in the cargo area

Not really that I can think of. Viair is a name often tossed around. Personally I would mod my AC compressor for tires. That way its always there and outta the way. But that's just me, and I don't need AC like some living in hot climates.

I think 4wd has a parts catalog that had a few compressors, maybe check their site.

Last night instead of doing my cut and fold I started upgrading my door hinge hardware. Its getting colder in WI, and I gotta keep priorities in mind.

Here I am pounding the pin in. I decided to keep one pin pointing up from the body side on the bottom hinge, and one pin pointing down on the door side of the upper hinge.

Hope that makes sense. Pics will help. So here is the stainless bottom pin and it getting wailed on. I left the pin a bit bigger than the hole, so its a real tight fit. I will weld it in place, even though I really doubt its going anywhere.

I am actually a bit nervous that I bent the hinge upward. We shall see, I can always hammer it back down.

I did my best to bevel the pin so it would grab the hinge hole better, and be easier to slide on. I really should have done this before knocking it through, but hindsight is always 20/20.

I will be picking up some heavy grease to wipe generously over the pins and hinges when this is all over. I want things to slide easily, and WI winters will take their toll as well. Salt creep gets in odd places, I would rather not take any chances.

After that it was time to watch the Packers make the Saints look bad. Even though our defense looked like garbage, we still won.

GO PACK!!

Just the standard removable doors. Nothing special, just wanted stainless pins and hardware, so everything got replaced.
