Awesome looking Jeep man, love the progress. Cant wait to see it finally finished. I love seeing build threads with actual progress being made, mine is slowly coming along lol. Quick question, I'm replacing a patch in the floor in mine as well, in pretty much the same spot actually, what size metal and type did you use for the floor?

16 gauge cold rolled steel. I would suggest finding someone with a break to bend the metal, though, as its really hard without one.

Unless you don't need anything bent, then your lucky.

Yeah there's only one small spot I need bent, I mean there's those grooves in the floor but I'm not too worried about matching that up to make it look stock or anything.

Looking great man! I am actually trimming my front bumper the same as you did.
We have the exact same interior too! It is freaking awesome in my humble opinion!
Anywho my new rear bumper will be here tomorrow and I can't wait. Plus getting the re-gear done on Thursday.

That's funny, identical interiors. Two door and four door awesomeness.

Here really soon I will be taking off the rest of my fender rot in the front, then I will do a really similar cut to my rear bumper. I haven't had the need to get aftermarket bumpers yet, so this is what I am doing until the need arises.

I am also going to cut and fold the rear quarters when I trim the rear bumper.

What's this?!?

Proof that a Renix XJ doesn't need its o2 sensor to function.

Like most of the nuts and bolts on this truck these were seized and garbage. So instead of pulling them off by removing the bolts, I just pulled them off. Literally.

Aaaaaand THIS is why bumper caps suck. They trap stuff causing unnecessary trouble.

Tonight when I have more time I will be doing the rear fender tuck and front fender trim.

Was admiring my beautiful ride when I noticed my exhaust had cracked again.

This time I will have to replace parts instead of cutting and hacking and welding.

Lame. The work never ends.

I agree end caps are gay! I am really looking forward to my new bumper. Let me know how the trimming goes on your rear fenders. I ended up having to cut a lot out of my fenders and had to weld extra metal in to finish them up. So if you end up in the same boat let me know I have some pointers.
