Quote: Last of the grinding was finished last night . Now I just need to remake the seat studs to bolt the seat back in place and I should have a drivable truck again.

I got pulled over for being doorless. You think I can get away with being seatless, too?

I would have gotten further but I only had 30 min to work. Had ti help my friend do tie rods and ball joints on his Nissan, then had to go to Walmart for tools and painting for another project.

Tonight should be a good night, given this heat isn't too bad.

Nice double post, by the way.

I rent that garage, and I had to do quite a bit before it was ever usable. Its been a year and I just got to the point where I could work in there. The owner had tons of crap stored in there.

I still could use more space.

I have come to the conclusion that no matter what tools I have, and what garage I have I will always want more tools and need more space.

Made some great progress last night. The truck is drivable, except my battery is toast and someone bought the one I need just minutes before me.

The paint on the inside of the frame was dry, so I was able to get the pan in place and put a few spot welds on. Drilled new holes for the new stainless steel seat hardware and stuck the seat back in so I could see how everything fit.

Today I will get a battery, hopefully, and finish the rest of the welding. If I can get her rolling I will trim my bumpers and fenders. I can't wait.

Got my replacement phone today. I don't have 'work in progress' shots right now, I never got those to resize. I did take a couple pics of how the truck looks after the fender and bumper trim, though.

I know the wheel wells look terrible, they will be taken care of soon.
