I thought I could get by with 33s and stock gearing and I toasted my transmission.

Maybe I should re-phrase, I dont mind the 3.55 with the 33" tire, with the 35 it may be different. I put the 4.56 in my YJ. Ford 9" and d 44 along with a healthy Sbc and wish I had the 4.10 back. It just tacks up too quick on me, ok offroad but on the street it breaks the tires loose on 1-2 and 2-3. Ive ran 4.10 in all my jeeps but that one.

Either way, it's never going to be a race car. The least it could do is get out of it's on way.

To me a capable daily driver would not be lifted 9 and a half inches with 35s on stock gears. There's no way I could drive that every day.
A capable daily driver (To me) would be lifted 4" w/ RK 3-link, 33" tires, selectable lockers f/r, 4.56 gears, some good diff covers and armor.
My current DD is lifted 3", 31's and 4:10s. My trail rig is in my sig line. If I didn't have the trail rig the DD would be built like I described above.

Because of the 3.55 gears
