I know this is irrelevant at this point, but anyone taking pointers....I would recommend against grease and the like. It remains slippery forever and your wheel can spin inside the tire. Stick to things that dry up, like soapy water.

By the way, mine is in the 6" range and I love it. Of course I have never measured...maybe it is so heavy it is more like 5.
thats how mine was when I was on the rim, I'll bet I just needed a new Pump (remember my 5 min part int he last turn on the rim lol its on video)

If you want to custom build one go for it! a 9"center re-tubed with D60 knuckles?

Just run a D60, narrow it, turn the knuckles and build it its that simple!

D44's can be a great front axle, D60's can be as well. All depends on driving style and tire size.

Toyota guys run 8" R&P's with 38-39's lol (smaller then a D44, with weaker housings) they don't have to much issues either. But they run duel cases and crawl really slow (for the most part )

need more info, what tire size? want bullet proof? (and for the real question lol) how much money?

also, why ditch the D30? Its locked and geared... have you broken a shaft? are they still stock shafts? if its not breaking why worry?

I can't seem to find the plug for my back up sensor. It's got four plugs and can't seem to find anything not connected?? What side of the motor does the plug go on?

Not a bad upgrade for 350... half the cost of the locker, or the cost of the steering... plus gears/ truss blah blah lol
