I am running the M.O.R.E. Bomb Proof 1" lift mounts and I think they are great, you'll have that much more room to roll under your rig.

How do I get these rims shiny? Iv powerwashed them from an inch away and they still are dirty and dusty looking! I bought aluminum rim cleaner, doesn't work at all

Edit: (may look good in this pic but that's the best one, rest are terrible)

Spray some wd40 on them then wipe it off

Elbow grease. Polish polish polish. Thats the only way the shine will come back

Yeah id say thats yout best bet. Make sure you sand them down also. There may be some left over clear coat. But from your pics it doesnt look like it


Flat or low gloss black looks damn good against od green

Yeah flat would look sick just make sure they are extremely clean, and use plenty of denatured alcohol. Nothing worse than touching up a month old paint job

Yup it's possible. The front drive shaft and all of the transfer case internals spin as long as all 4 wheels are on the road, when put into 4WD a fork in the transfer case just slides a gear into place which allows power to be transferred. Normally it just spins with the road.

At this point I'd suggest getting your XJ up on a lift or jack stands with the transfer case in neutral and rotating things by hand. If the grinding is audible at 30 MPH hopefully you can hear something with your head down there while the engine's off. Could be chain, gears, brakes, bearings, or that garden gnome you hit a while back that you swear looked like it was actually alive or something and just crawls above the gas tank when you park it, scheming and plotting...
