I took off the starter, and front shocks, put the jeep on jack stands and tried raising the front axle while it was lifted. Still nothing, any ideas?

Im at my wits end, all other rattles fixed but this one's horrible. I even stuffed rags all over to try to stop it. Still there. Anyone else have this annoying elusive rattle and fix it? Im wondering if its like my HVAC box or something.

I guess I haven't found the "sweet spot" yet, I'll keep tinkering with it, but for some reason if I still can't get it out would unbolting the lca's help at all?

I read on this link, http://www.stu-offroad.com/recovery/...inchline-6.htm , that the angle of how the winch line exits the fairlead can be detrimental to the life of synthetic rope, ie if it rubs said fairlead it could snap it.
My angle is such that it rubs some by default. Should I raise the winch a little? Or will it be fine?

It would allow your axle to droop further.
You have to shift the pan then twist it
I can't remember exactly what I did but it was never THAT hard.
I put my jeep on jack stands behine the LCA mounts so that the front axle will sag. then it was just a matter of working it out.
I had to do it about 20 times in a row when I added my new high flow oil pump. Oil pan needs modding to be able to fit afterwards.
