2000 Cherokee, I-6 4.0L, aw4.
4 1/2 Blackdiamond lift, aftermarket lower arms, stock uppers.

I had to replace control arm bushings. I have the lowers done but I am haveing problems getting the upper arms attached(only the passenger side is disconnected ). I can get the body side control arm bolted in but the axel side is giving me issues. I can get one bolt lined up and get the bolt in (this is axel side). I have tried to rotate the axel but I'm having no luck. I have tried using a cargo strap but the ratchet failed, didn't budge. Is my only option to drop the shaft and disconnect suspension parts? I'm up for any ideas.

attach the uppers to the axle first, then the lowers. You can use a hydraulic (or even your stock) jack to help rotate the axle from the bottom side

Bought a horn and hooked it to my fuse relay but my battery keeps die from it because it steadily takes power even when the jeeps off. Where can I hook it to where its only on when the jeeps on??

I am putting some Rubicon 16" wheels on my 99 Cherokee Sport. I need adapters. My Jeep is not here so I cannot measure my wheel studs. Will a 1 1/4" thick adapter be thick enough to cover the stock studs?

Yes you can, you may need to remove your fan shroud first. It's a simple adjustment. Just have fun or there's no point in having a jeep.

I seem to have a odd problem.. 98 4.0 i6. The jeep starts up fine, idles fine for about 45-60 secs and then she wants to fall her face but never does. If i give some gas as its happening the problem goes away. Wont happen again till next start up.

IMO it would seem to be around the time my system goes from open loop, to closed loop.(o2 sensor) Ive checked the ECU after warm up and my scanner shows my o2 sensor at closed loop.. Haven't checked prier to stumble yet though ill do that today. I do have a couple trouble codes but i dont think these would cause this problem. (1) VSS no output( No speedo gear) and (2) P0138 Downstream o2 sensor (Not installed because i don't have a muffler or cat, open down pipe, temporary)

Any ideas? Its not a big issue but i would like to solve it so i dont have to worry about it later on.

Another Question, Would my IAC cause this? During startup first 15-20 sec. it revs high (around 950) then slowly comes down to idle, about 20 secs after the idle set at around 750 it stumbles.

Upgrades:
Ford #19 injectors (yellow stick)
Pacesetter headers
Complete a/c Delete
Cruise Control Delete
New alternator
Big 3 wire upgrade
NO exhaust (Temporary)
Fuel Pump and Filter
Oil and filter (Both Engine and Trans)
Replaced Shift Solenoids

Cant remember anything else as of now...... Ideas??
My 98 also stumbles after start-up. As for revving I'll make a prediction that you'll need an alternator soon. thats what mine did for a while before mine went south, after alt replacement hasn't done it since.

My 87 at start-up revs anywhere from 2krpm to 3krpm. Sometimes it'll drop to 700rpm withing 10secs but more often than not it lasts for 60secs. Modsulled tge little restrictor from the air tube and have a spectra factory replacement air filter. New battery and 9month old alternator with all new battery cables.
Any ideas?
Edit. At idle it also stumbles/misses

Another question, jeep idles fine, when you press the gas it revs up good but when the rpm's go back down the jeep starts acting like it wants to cut off and the whole jeep starts shaking. After a couple seconds it returns to normal. What the heck??

PLEASE HELP! I have a 1990 XJ
I got kinda the same issue but I replaced some fog light casings on the bumper .. well the stock Fog light switch worked only when the headlight switch was on all the way and the low beams were only on.. Well last night i turned them on to see if everything worked and than as i turned on and off the OEM fog light switched My hids would dim out.. well after about 3 or 4 times with me playin with that fog light switch i left the fogs on for about 20 seconds and the driver side hot wire started frying only that one wire.. than all my tail lights head lights and dash lights and buzzer went out and wont come on.. my turn signals and wipers still work and so does my dome lights and flashers.. i checked every fuse under the dash it all is good i went under the hood nothing of fuses just a bunch of relays i dont know how to check relays or such and there is a few metal fuses/relays that are in the fuse panel i have not messed with any of them tho.. i am wondering if there is anything that i can check and can be not working like a bad switch or relay? No burnt wires or any smoking in the Jeep or anything??

Jeepyjeepy, 98jeepsrt6, zombie_jeep101: You guys are going to want to look into your Throttle Position Sensors and Idle Air Controllers. I believe it's tjwalker who has a lovely writeup on testing the TPS with an analog multimeter. What you guys are describing is all consistent with a bad TPS throwing random voltage that is causing random or inaccurate movements at the IAC and/or a dirty IAC that may be sticking and not regulating the flow of air with a shut throttle properly.

Also, 98jeepsrt6, do you still have the upstream O2 sensor?
