Default foglights

I need to replace my rusted factory fog lights on my 91 xj Limited. This may sound stupid but the Chilton book doesn't say anything about replacing the whole light. How does the bumper come off? By looking at it, I would guess that the bumper guards cover the bolts that attach the bumper. is there anything else I should be careful of when taking off the bumper? Are bolts know to break like the shock absorbers?
Thanks

Doesn't the '89 have the disco. axle while the '99 doesn't?

Keep lookin'. There were some Members on here that were parting out there XJ's, and you can get the complete assy. fairly cheap. Then just remove and carry the shafts with you as trail spares. And you'll have the housing in case you damage yours. JMO

OK. Does anyone know the name of the inlet port shown in the pic? PO i assume had broke or cut the vac line and installed the screw. I am drawing a blank though on how to get a replacement if I do not know what the thing is exactly. Guess I could just go scrounge one from the JY. But, would be nice to know. This is th 4.0 engine from a 1991 Briarwood. Maybe its not important. I went through smog check and the tech did not mention it or fail the test. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Not all of them. I have a 89 limited without the disco. It has the NP242 Selec trac transfer case. I also have a 90 with the NP231 transfer case. It had the split axle shaft and I replaced it with a 96 solid axle shaft.

The front bumper needs to come off with both brackets. You access the bolts from underneath and it is tight.
