Hey dukie lookin at the difference between older prop valve and newer ones. Doesn't really appear to be a difference. Fab is same. Port sizing same. Not only for myself but for future ref for folks wanting to do the bendix 9 swap, what are the chances of nailing down a difference if there is one?

Simple question: Looking at new wheels. I have a stock XJ. Sticking with 15". Stock tire size (225/75/15). What size backspacing would be good for stock specs? (I want my tires to stick out a little more but not to the point where my XJ isn't street legal). And can I fit 225/75 on a 15x8 wheel? If not, what would be recommended for the width?
Also, I live in PA. The law here states that the sidewall can stick out past the fender flares but the tread cannot...
Thanks for the help guys,
Griff

Thanks for the help, your comment in the other thread confused me lol! So a 235 would fit but do you know if 225 would fit? I just got 2 new tires (need two more now) so I need to keep that size for a while...if they wouldn't fit I guess I would have to go 15x7 right?

alright, that's fine....looks like when I get money for a lift I will need some new wheels too (I'm guessing you can't run a 11.5 on an 8" wheel)
Hi Folks - Newbe here ... I have a 1987 Jeep Cherokee project just started, and it has many odds and ends - unconnected. One mystery is a tube that I found hanging from near the tranny. Does anyone know where this plugs into? I'm attaching a picture ... hope it works...
