Don't think that's a problem lol. Sounds like you've got a really good cooling system.

How do I take my fender flares off? I thought it would be pretty simple! Reach behind the wheels and loosen the nuts from the bolts. But every way I turn the nuts they just get tighter! Already broke one bolt so thought I'd ask!

That is cuz they are old and rusty, use some pb blaster on them, try multiple applications then they should come right off.
There is also 3 metal strips inside flare that do not come off with it so once the nuts are off you pull up not out

Default What is best carb for my 232

I just bought a 82 cherokee chief. It has a 232 engine out of a 74. I looked up the engine and the code I have stamped is 702e20. Think thats the right year. Any way, I need a new carb and radiator for it. Whats the best one I can get to replace the one on it?

Default 96 Cherokee keyless entry problems

I just picked up fobs for my 96 Cherokee Country because the woman I bought it from couldn't find the old ones. I replaced the batteries in them and went through the programming steps. No luck. Is there a fuse or relay somewhere I can check? I'm having problems with the power windows but the power locks work fine. Any suggestions other than using the key to unlock it??

Thanks for the help!

I don't believe there is a way to program your own. I looked into it myself and found out it was a dealership only thing, and they charge like $80 here

At that point, you're better off picking up a cheap keyless entry system from Amazon for $30-40 and installing it yourself. Keyless installation is pretty simple if you know how to use relays and follow instructions.

I've installed a remote start, keyless entry and alarm system on both my '88 XJ and '96 XJ. The locking systems are slightly different. (Chrysler's is better, for once...) I got both my systems, for free but they are about $75 normally.
Crimestopper SP-400. Crimestopper SP-400.
American made and quality. I got all my wiring information from here: <

What procedure did you use? The 96 i thought you could program yourself as follows:

open the drivers side door and leave it open with the door lock lever in the locked position.
turn the ignition to the on position.
you then have 20 seconds to aim the transmitter at the receiver in the vehicle and press the unlock button on the remote and hold it for at least 5 seconds..when it accepts the programming, the door will unlock.
you have another 20 seconds to turn the ignition off and back on to lock the code in..

I used that procedure, it works up to 96 but 97 and newer requires a dealer or locksmith. Still nothing, today I'm going to tear my door/kickpanel apart to find the problem with the master switches for the power windows, maybe it's tied together somehow but it's got me stumped so far. Thanks for your help so far!
