That's it. Saved it. Again.

Wouldn't all that keep a person busy? And broke.

2000 XJ sport with 4.56 gears front and rear with lokka lockers. The rear locker is extra loud with clicking in reverse while also turning. Anything I should be worried about? Isn't nearly as loud in drive

Are you saying it’s abonormally loud for an auto-locker? What you described sounds like normal operating sounds.

Just google autolocker or lunchbox locker noise. Sounds like a robot raping an anvil (hyperbole).

update. I filled it up tonight just as the fuel light came on and it took 12.6 gallons. I kind of doubt it would have run as good as it did with only a gallon in the tank. Up and down hills stopping and starting and whatnot. I would have expected some sputtering at least. I very well could be wrong.

It sure sounds like a 13.5gal tank. I wonder if there's a part number located somewhere on it? Guess you could get a 20gal replacement. Not expensive at all. Here's a Spectra at Rock Auto for $82.79. I don't see the fuel pump assemblies listed as separate for 13.5 and 20.

So while cruising Craigslist I came across a 2005 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 Motor with 40K supposedly. Looking at the belt routing my guess is this is not a straight bolt in for a '00 XJ. Is that correct? Could the engine be used for the '00 anyway?

From what I've read it's not easy. I used to hear "it's not possible" but then someone on Pirate went and did it, I think. I want to say the motor mounts are in the wrong place. In any case its not a direct swap, that's for sure.

Thank you for confirming what I thought. When I saw the belt routing kinda of figured it was more like a '99 to '04 WJ block which I know stuff is not in the same place.
