I have a quick question: On my 1990 two door, are the drivers and passenger electric windows on the same fuse or does each one have it's own fuse?

My passenger window stopped half way down yesterday.

Anyone have info on a ZJ gas tank swap? I cant remember where i read it but it was a build thread on here saying that the ZJ gas tank is bigger than the XJ and can be swapped pretty easily

Well, new battery and new higher power alternator did not seem to solve the random sputter. Yesterday I was driving and it sputtered then it stalled while driving. Looking for ground issues today, thinking of changing crank position sensor as well. The gauge cluster has not lit up since new battery and alternator so maybe I am facing multiple problems

Ok, so i was parking my xj and noticed a bit of white smoke coming from the bottom of the jeep. I open the hood and there appears to be oil on the iside of the hood. I look under the jeep and see fresh drips of oil on the ground. What could be leaking and how much will each of those things cost to fix?

A dozen things could be leaking. Are you able to determine an approximate area where the oil is coming from? Pictures would help

i can't get my camera into the area but it appears to be above the diff (roughly). Everything seems to gave oil on it. The transmission, diff, rubber sheild thing, and anything around the left side of the engine

Clean it all off well w/ a degreaser, make sure it has the proper oil level, start it up and start looking for the source of the leak.

New question; just ripped out my carpet and I am planning on laying down a rust preventer or chassis saver or something. Is there something specific I should lay down if im planning on putting the carpet back in?

Default Gas tank leak! Please help!

Hey guys, when i drove home my first 1996 cherokee yesterday, i filled it up, and it started leaking out of where the fuel pump connects to the gas tank. It basically drained half the tank. thinking its a seal in between the fuel pump and the tank itself...not sure.
thanks!
I'm new, this is my first post

Mine did that. It was just the seal installed wrong.

Clean and prep all the metal thoroughly, and knock down any rust you find. Once this is done, couple of good products out there.

POR15
Eastwood Chassis Black frame paint.
Any good bedliner(applied, not rattlecan)

With any of these, but especially the bedliner, good idea to run all your screws/bolts in halfway before applying product. This not to keep your bolts nice, lol, but makes re-installing seats, belts, console, etc much MUCH easier. Running bolts into holes with gummed up threads is not fun.
