If I may, a couple of additional questions... #1, are there any better rear seats that might also bolt in? Have 2 sons, therefore 2 car seats. Looking for something with top tether anchors and head rests. Unfortunately I don't have the facilities, skills, or connections yet to do any fabrication, so I'm hoping I can find something that's a simple swap.

#2 - Since I'll be picking from a ZJ anyway, are there any other parts that I should snag from it that might be beneficial to my XJ? Thanks so much, and Merry Christmas!
More than likely, whatever seats you pick up will come with the sliders (rails). But you won't need the sliders if you get the ZJ seats. Just unbolt the sliders from your XJ seats and bolt them to the ZJ seats. Then they'll bolt right up. (I've heard some say the seats are direct-bolt in, but I don't see how that's possible as the XJ seat sliders are wider from what I've seen).

As far as the REAR seat goes... you can use the ZJ rear seat, but it requires some modification and is not nearly as simple a process as the ZJ front seats. Just look for "ZJ rear seat swap" on google and I'm sure you'll find several write-ups outlining the process. I don't know of any other seats that will work. I know the WJ 99-04 Grand Cherokee) seats will also go in with some modification, but they require a little more modification than even the ZJ seats. Neither option have top anchors for child seats... unless I've missed it somewhere.

I should also clarify, ZJs are from 1993-1998 Grand Cherokees, but I don't believe they had an adjustable headrest until 1996.

Other parts... well.... If it's a v8 ZJ and the steering isn't sloppy, you can grab the tie rod (from the left steering knuckle to the drag link). The v8 front coils should also give you about 1" lift over stock. The bolt pattern is the same on the wheels, so if you like what you see there, you can snag them too. If it has an overhead console and you're good with wiring, you can grab that and make it work. OH! And the disc brakes in the rear. Grab everything off the axle housing. If you have a D35 rear end, grab the axleshafts for spares.... and grab the front axle shafts for spares. Front ZJ driveshaft will be good for if you lift your Jeep and to an SYE later on. That's all I can think of right now man.

Don't forget fuel tank('97+ IIRC) and fuel tank skid!

Edit: and the ZJ front seats are drop in(4 nuts) but if you want the the sliders too they will need modification. On my list to fab up some brackets and have power ZJ sliders in the XJ(since I have all the spare parts...lol)

I FINALLY HAVE AC/HEAT~!!!

After a long battle trying to find the culprit to the intermittent blower fan, I just swapped the old for a new one and now my jeep blows!

Side note: the drain hole isnt in the correct place and im not sure what to do about it...

instead of facing down, its now facing the drivers side.

Should I plug the both of them (motor and hose?) and not worry about it, or just let them be?

That's the drain hose in the correct place. On the bottom, facing down.

ok, that still doesnt really help much, as my hose (should) goes from the bottom of the blower motor to inside the firewall, in where the blower mounts. i guess i could yank out the house from wherever its attached to and just let it dangle.

for reference, im referring to this hose attached to the firewall. it no longer will reach the hole in the new motor

And you're 100% sure it only goes in one way?

That's the fresh air intake for the motor.

yeah, 3 screw holes, the 2 at the bottom are closer together. In my research, apparently a few others have had the same issue but no real answer.

high probability. i think this was a TYR part (if that makes sense). I bought this with the cage on it for $30. the Murray one I have has the hole in the correct place, however there is no gasket or even gasket groove (the mount plate is flat).

Im debating trying to swap the old cage onto the new Murray motor and make that work. Not sure what to do about the gasket thing tho.

I have replaced my blower motor with the Murray a few weeks ago on my 93. It fit perfect, cage and gasket swapped right over to the new unit and installed. Looked exactly like ur pics.

Said screw it, put the murray one on. **** this thing blows a ton of air now. Turned it on full tilt and things in the front seat ended up in the back. It actually moved the box the blower came in
