There is a walk through on NAXJA's walk through section on how to take the starter apart and rebuild it, although you can just take it off and take it to a parts store and have them test it

Think I can use this bad ***** on exhaust manifold bolts or would it be better to use PB blaster and and elbow grease?
I'm deathly afraid of snapping bolts in the head and there's 11 chances to do that.

Personally, I always prefer hand tools when possible. Let's me feel what's happening. But I did use an air gun on mine last time

do you think if I replace the passenger side switch panel that might fix my problem... The locks will randomly make clicking noices

No idea. When mine do not work I also hear clicking from the passenger side. Picked up a switch in the boneyard, got it for free, and figure I will try at some point in time. Thing is I figure I need to do it when they are in a not working mode and then I have no idea what condition the boneyard switch is in. And then there always is the if they do start working was it really the switch or did they just start working again. Remember I told you they work like 98% of the time. I would not just buy one, throw it in, and hope for the best. Would hate to spend the money and be wrong.

Question Tire and wheel

I have been looking all over the net this weekend, and have yet to find a solid answer. I have an '01 with a 4.5" RC lift. The previous owner put a set of soft 8 wheels on it and it has 4" of backspacing, which is causing the wheels to stick out, I don't like it and it's affecting my steering which I don't like either. So my question is if I go back to a factory wheel that is 15x7 with 5.25" backspacing, will a 32x11.5x15 tire fit on a 15x7 wheel without any premature tire ware/fail or should I be looking for a factory 15x8?

How is it affecting your steering? Factory wheels will definitely affect it since you'll lose a significant portion of your steering range. Bringing the tires inward will remove 3" from your track width and change the pivot point of your tires. This will cause anything larger than a 30" tire, at best, to rub against your control arms when turning.

Advance Auto, for the heavy duty ZJ option. Some love it; others hate it.

The tabs on this started to eat into my radiator. Had to snap them off, but has since worked fine without issue

I've installed them on a half dozen 4.0L Jeeps. XJ, MJ, YJ, and TJ. I haven't had an issue personally, so it's possible there may have been another factor.

I don't have an issue with it. Personally, I've never noticed a difference. But I know a lot of people agree with you

I didn't know that would affect the steering that badly. That's definitely a definitive answer I've been looking for. It's affecting my steering by putting a greater strain on my hubs, tie rod, and ball joints. It's also affecting the way it handles on the road, and it's not fun.
