Thanks, also, if I get white led's, l will have really bright white gauges? I want a blue color like my stang, but it has a blue tint in the cluster. Does the jeep have any tint? Thanks

Never mind, I tore her apart and found my answer...no tint, blue tint on the bulb itself. Thanks guys!

Anyone ever try and install cam bearings with the engine IN the vehicle?
(I guess the tricky part would be installing the rear cam plug..)
I think I found my oil pressure 'issue' (starting at 70-80, dropping to 5-8 hot)

thanks again.

What's a "reasonable" offer on a pair of good condition but dirty ZJ seats? There's some WJ seats up the road for $150. Is $100 reasonable?

I have been searching posts and I haven't come across anything to help me yet. I have a 1999 grand Cherokee that I changed the heater core in yesterday and now I have absolutely no power to anything. Have checked battery, it's fine and only 4 months old. Any ideas on what it could be? thanks in advance for any help

Default Have a rear end question...

I'm looking at a renix xj (not sure on the year, belongs to my nieces friend) and it needs a rear end. What is a good replacement? There are a few 8.25's on CL cheap in my area, but I'm fairly new to this stuff and can't remember which one is which. The D30 is the weak one that folks usually replace isn't it? Will the 8.25 out of a 2wd xj work in one that is 4wd? If you were looking at replacing the rear end on a budget which way would you go?

D30 is a front axle. The D35 is the rear, it is the weaker of the rear axles offered in the xj. As far as the swap goes its straight forward. But when buying the new rear axle you have to be sure of the gear ratio, it has to match the front.

If seats come with brackets/sliders that are in fair condition, they can be sold on e-bay for $30 each. From Pick-n-pull, $29 each with brackets for ZJ manual cloth seats. Picked up an extra one to use as a garage chair.

Anyone know if it's alright to run 75w-140 gear oil in a stock Dana 30 on a 98 XJ?

A piece of plywood sits flush on bottom of seat and is bolted through the holes for brackets. 12" bolt connects plywood to wheeled base.
