Huh...seems to be running fine today...cleared the code we'll see if it comes back. I did the ecu reset thing by disconnecting and shorting the battery leads and then the headlight thing too. Does that take a while to adjust to the 4 hole injectors? Fuel trim seems to be staying near 0% most of the time. Also when should it switch to closed loop? Is it dependant on the O2 sensor temp or coolant temp? It's been switching when the coolant is around 70F.

It says it can take up to 50 start cycles for the ecu to adjust but mine didn't take that long

How loud of a buzz are we talkin'? Can you hear it over the motor and exhaust when you're driving? If not, it shouldn't be a problem man.

I was going to change the spark plugs this last weekend too but didn't get to it. Think that'll help?

Edit: HA look at that...It did the opposite today...^

Also, when initially letting of the accelerator to coast both sensors go to 0V for a bit and then come back up.

I think I have to say the O2's are bad...It flopped the other way again today and stayed completely rich the entire drive in today and studdered even at cruising speeds...

anybody? I tried making sure the tank straps were tight that might cause loosens and buzzing, I double check to make sure the new fuel pump was seated in the tank correctly and it's good, any other ideas? I just ordered a Bosch fuel pump from Advanced auto but I want to make sure it's the fuel pump that's causing the problem before I stick this one in. Is Delphi known for these problems or what? What could cause a buzzing fuel pump straight outta the box. Restriction in fuel lines? Faulty fuel pump? Thanks

Haven't heard any issues like you're mentioning from a Delphi pump personally. I will say that AC Delco and Delphi aren't the quality Made in USA stuff they used to be. They have been caught up in the outsourcing that plagues the industry nowadays.

If you're paranoid about the buzzing being an issue, go with the Bosch... it's what everyone (on multiple forums) seems to recommend.

alright, I guess that's what I'll do. And by the way, the buzzing isn't a small buzz, this is loud enough that u can hear it easy with me driving 55 down the road inside or outside the jeep. Took it to a shop my friend owns and he said he's never seen a fuel pump that loud even on an old one. This thing is loud WITH the radio on

Maybe a dumb question but did any other Chrysler vehicles come with WJ seats? I'm swapping those into my XJ and every time I go to the yards the drivers seats are always gone so was curious if I have other options.

I don't think so. But, if you know how to weld, technically you can fit any seat from and car you want.

OK, found a good deal on a AW4/231 that they say is from an 01 cherokee 140K, (already out with T/C attached) and my son's has 300K mi on his and is kinda growling louder than it should to me.
Son's is a 01 sport and searched here and NAXJA but seems like lots for the early aw4 but not so much for the later 97 to 01 interchangeability
..
What stickers/stampings on the trans for date of mfg or if it WILL fit my son's 01?
"lady" says that the only markings on tranny is: 333-2x and it's about a 1.5hr drive one way.
I'll have to look at my son's when he gets home from school tomorrow.

Need to know kinda quick to plan a road trip like that. (I got a gazzillions of things going on, and need to fit it in)

Thanks E
