Unfortunately I can't help you with the end caps.

But as a piece of forum advice, I suggest putting your entire post in the "Message" section when replying and totally ignoring the "Title" unless you're making a new thread. There's nothing wrong with the way you did it, but it's easy to overlook the title since most people don't use them

Does it increase in frequency with engine speed? Or does it just seem like it's less that road speed (like 3-4 times less)?
Engine speed does effect just road speed

If it's only while the engine is cold, you may have a bearing somewhere, I'd be surprised at your mileage though. How does your engine oil look? Drain and inspect it and check for abnormal amounts of metal shavings.
Hot or cold same sound engine oil was just changed and it looked fine

If it's only while your at low speed, my guess is a bad gear/clutch(s)/torque converter in your transmission. See if it does it while in reverse and if the automatic lets you, in 2nd. Check the trans fluid for shavings.
Any speed even coasting in neutral

If I'm reading the when starting out part wrong, and it's all the time...
All the time

When it's not matching up with the speedometer it's basically going to be something in your engine, transmission, transfer case, or driveshafts. Just what I usually do here (working my way back): Check backing plates behind rotors, it needs a good bit of clearance. Then see if it does it while stopped revving the engine. Check your fan to see if that's catching on something. Then see if it does it in reverse. Check driveshaft weights, to see if one came off. Check the u-joints. See if it does it in 4HI/LO.

Let us know if any of that helps. Basically just try to narrow it down. If all else fails find a good mechanic or a friend who's good with cars and have them test drive.
Backing plates have enough room Diff oil came out normal with no metal shavings

Oh well ...I'll keep looking but I would hate to replace wheel bearings ( They are easy to do but run about a buck and a half) and find that the noise is still there...Thanx for the feedback

Cruise Control round 2:

Originally put in junk yard servo and steering wheel buttons and an eBay clock spring into my 2000 jeep. Cruise control worked originally but started to deteriorate as a couple weeks past. Cruise control light would come on for about 4 seconds but the servo would not engage. eventually went to the parts section here and got a new-to-me engine servo and steering wheel buttons. just installed them to no avail. Same issue as before. Get to 40 mph, hit the on switch, cruise light comes on, hit the set button, nothing, cruise light would then shut off and would not come back on until i shut the jeep off and on again.

Any suggestions? starting to lose my mind over here lol

I got to go poke fun at him now for this quality "newbie" gold. Lol. Pete M is the owner of Comanche Club but he's not a bad guy at all, unlike some of the other D-bag purists over there.

Cruiser, well we know he's good to go so he doesn't fall in the D-bag category.
