I just had my oil changed while my jeep was getting its suspension verified and all of a sudden, 5 minutes out of the shop the engine starts running rich and the exhaust smells awful, even from the inside of the jeep. 5 minutes later, CEL comes on. Code 51 for o2 sensor before cat. Now I know it might not actually be the sensor (from memory, it has already been replaced about 2 years ago) but I checked all the wiring and everything seems fine.
I checked the fuses under the hood but everything seems fine too. What else should I look? I mentionned the oil change because maybe it's in the area of something that could affect this. I couldn't get the o2 sensor out, if it's needed to verify what it looks like I'll have to go burn 10$ worth of gas in order to just get it warm. It basically went from running fine > oil change > runs like crap. Lost like a quarter tank during a 15 mile drive.
It's a 96 btw.

'97+ is one-piece, and you would have to change to the newer style door strikers. Jones also changed at some point, but I don't recall what year.

Tuff Stuff synthetic winch rope on Ebay. Is anyone using this rope and if so, is is capable? I mean for the occasional winching someone out. Used maybe 2 to 3 times a year.

I bought the cheapos from Rockauto... They're fine for what they are, which for me they're just temporary until I replace them with Brown Dogs. My previous mounts were toast.

So I got my 2000 xj about a week ago and the fuel gauge doesn't read at all. The guy that sold it to me told me it was the sensor and that I would have to replace the whole fuel pump. Does anyone know if this is true or if I can just swap out the sensor? Thnaks all!

If you do replace the fuel pump, DO NOT buy Airtex parts. You'll be replacing it again in six months if it even works when you install it

That is the problem I am having, always on empty. What do I do for the bench test?
