Also....If the shocks and trackbar bushings are bad, do you reccommend a replacement set?

What are you running them on? And do you have a relay hooked up?

Hd wiring harness in hella Ecode housing.
And Ed the harness has relays. I might run the 80 watts but I'm just curious how much more of a pull they are

You can run em as long as you have those relays it shouldnt pull to much voltage away. You'll be fine.

Going to be replacing my factory speakers out of my 96 today. getting a new head unit and hopefully 4 new speakers probably run 61/2s all the way around. My question is, How in the world do I get access to my sound bar speakers? I tried once before but didn't feel like I could get to them with out breaking the sound bar itself, or the dome lght that is anchored to the roof itself. Any help would be awesome

This should help you out:
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/r...heavy-1104865/

To remove the soundbar you have to remove all the top trim pieces, and the dome light has two retainer nut clips that you need to pull off.

Default snapped grade8's and other fun stuff

hey everybody, i'm back again with a pair of problems that will seem easy to anyone that isn't a novice like me

first one, and most pressing
i snapped off the 1/2 the bolts holding my rear shocks to the saddle
i had one on eachside to keep things inplace while i got the tap/drill and new bolts
i stupidly tried a leftydrill and bunch of pb-fabulous
well now the lefty drill is realllly stuck, and it's raining all week
so whats the best and quickest way to dislodge the lefty
and i wouldn't mind a tip on backing out the snapped off grade8 so i can tap the hole when my special order kit shows up tomoro morning

second
my np242 is leaky
i powerwashed the case and surrounding areas
it seems to be coming from where selector goes in to the t.c.
i feel to urge to stop this leak, rather than keep feeding it juice
i can try to get a picture of this "selector" but i figure you know what i mean

any knowledge help tips advice will be appreciated lots

Hey CNWXJ! Thanks for your reply. I bought a box of Raychem solder sleeves and was all ready to begin the repair when I realized that I loaned-out my heat-gun almost three(?) years ago and it was never returned. I called friends that I might've loaned it to but they all claim ignorance. Looks like I'm out to buy another tool.

Watch this, I'll buy the tool then find/receive the one that's missing. Damned Murphy's Law again...

Battery old as dirt. Alt brand new. Radio, lights/fogs were prob on.

I went to use my front wipers today and there not working? When I turn on the wipers I don't here nothing. I search on this forum and see that people are talking about the fuse and relay switch. Where are those located so I can check them?

Post Tranny and transfer case mating

So...my dad gave me his jeep for free and its only a 2x4. I want to convert it to 4x4 using the existing AX-15 5 speed and mate it with the NP 242. Will this fit or not?

Mind you that I dont know if i truly have the AX-15 in my 1992 XJ.

I have the 4L I6 MPI with a 5 speed transmission. I am kinda new at mechanical work and I am a poor college kid trying to have some fun. If someone can help me out in figuring out if I truly have the AX-15 or the NV3550. Currently looking for a donor jeep!

I have a 1992 jeep xj. I have a fuse under my steering column that is a 25 amp. i would check that. Also there is something called a windshield wiper control module. Mine died and my wipers wouldnt move. I took that module out and connected the cable directly to the connector. This allowed me to bypass the module. My windshield wiper blades work but i dont have the in between setting for my wipers. Anotherwards i only have the Hi and Lo capability on my wipers.
The price on the windshield wiper module is crazy! Its like 150 bucks at autozone. I am making do without the module. Hope this helps!
