Its only temporary until I can afford to get the exhaust replaced professionally.
Sort of. A lot of the effect depends on what condition your exhaust was in already. You might have opened up a crack or hole further upstream, for example. Hope your DriveClean isn't due soon lol

The body and frame are unitized (uni-frame according to the designers, unibody according to some people). That means they are completely integrated. You can change everything but the chassis.

Yep. Lost mine on a road trip home after some dirt roading and it killed the power. Sounded great though

Alright. Looked over the rest of the exhaust and no damage, aside from the typical crack in the exhaust manifold. Driveclean was done in september haha.

Ah okay. Yeah it really does sound fantastic under hard acceleration.

Nuh-uh. Monocoque means that the powertrain is part of the frame structure.

Or are you just messing with Ross?

Hey guys. What a good solid pitman arm TRE that y'all trust. My temp duracrap is starting to get some slop, so I wanna swap em out this weekend. I think the cold weather started taking a toll like it did last year to the dieing stock one

Edit: this is for my 01 that I run swayless and will be running 235/85/16s so a sturdy one that can take abuse is what I'm looking for

Default Select Trak...yes, no?

Thinking of upgrading my '96 for a '99. What are the pluses and minuses of having Select trak. I know it has FT, but what about durability?

Anyone ever relocated the coolant overflow tank to inside passenger fender? Sorta like the wiper fluid bottle on the drivers fender...

It's a slightly weaker TC (nothing to worry about), and has less aftermarket support

I love SelecTrac. It's really all commandTrac is but with a full time option. Great for rain and snowy roads.

Default Transfer case conversion

Hi guys, first I'd like to say thanks for the add. Now my question is I have 99 Cherokee 4.0L auto trans with the NP242 transfer case, this is the second one my jeep has had in it. Original went out at about 70K on previous owner he replaced it with a new Mopar unit, it has now went out on me with 150,000. I would like to replace it with a 231 but was wondering if this is a direct swap or if I would need to change driveshafts?

Direct swap mechanically, however the shift linkage and some interior bits need to be replaced as they don't shift the same.

What's been happening to the transfer cases? Many reach to 300k, going through two is highly unusual unless you break them open on rocks. Were they not filled with lubricant?
