I know the HVAC is t4 neo wedge, I swear I read (and can't find it again) that the switches are either a t3 or t5 neo wedge. I pulled one and it just looks like a smaller one that went in the HVAC.

I looked at them before but I have amazon prime and they have some good deals on there.
Yeah prime makes it nice if you can find them on Amazon. I bought some LED replacements for my floor lights in my 95 XJ from Amazon.

Default Brake problems

I have a 94 Cherokee. Does not have ABS. A couple months ago, I replaced calipers, pads, rotors, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums and bled the entire system. Brakes were working perfectly up until yesterday. Had a very stiff pedal and everything was fine. While I was driving, I hit the brakes and heard a pop that sounded like it came from behind the brake pedal. I stopped for gas, and when I went to take off, I put it in drive, and it was taking off in 3rd gear. If I manually shifted in to 1, it would drop down to 1st gear. I went about 2 blocks and went into the store. When I came back out, I went to take off, and my brake pedal was going to the floor. Pumping the brakes wouldn't make it any stiffer. I still have brakes, but only when the pedal bottoms out. When the vehicle is off, it has a stiff pedal, but if you hit and hold the pedal, as soon as you start the vehicle it drops to the floor. Seems like you can hear air escaping from the little cylinder beneath the brake pedal when you pump it. I drove it home very carefully, still having to shift the transmission manually. Someone suggested that this may be a vacuum issue, so I climbed under the truck and checked to see if there were any vacuum lines loose going to the transmission and there werent. Ran the car for a few seconds, then turned it off and pulled the rubber plug off the power booster and you could hear the vacuum release, but it wasn't very strong. It has now been suggested to me that it may have blown a seal in the power booster...does this sound about right to you? I need to add that there are no fluid leaks, and that this morning, it was much cooler outside, and the transmission was working fine...i am baffled.

That sounds like it might be right. A buddy of mine replaced his. If I can get a hold of him, I can get you the bulb type.

Clean your grounds. Battery, rear of valve cover, and by the oil dipstick

Default Transmission?

Here's the typical I have a noise what is it question? Jeep is going into a tranny shop for diagnostic, hoping you guys could help me out with a little knowledge ammo before I go. Problem - seems like there is a slipping type noise coming from the tranny when cold. Shifts perfect always. When it gets hot, around 10 or 15 miles of driving, the noise turns into a MUCH louder grinding sound, and a very loud clunking develops, especially while turning. Although the clunking sound seems like its coming from the rear, the loud grinding I can't pinpoint from the tranny or rear. Again, only when hot, never does it when cold or quick trips around our little town. From due dilegence in searching forums, I can only guess tranny, transfer case, u-joints on rear drive line or Diff problems. Anyone have this type of problem? 92 cherokee, AW4, chrysler 8.25 rear. 4 inch lift. No SYE Lets see... just replaced diff fluid front and rear, everything looked good. New tranny filter, gasket and fluid, clean with no signs of metal shavings. New front wheel u-joints. New fluid in transfer case, old was pretty dark. 175,000 miles. Thanks for any ideas!

1986 xj with the 2.5 and a 5 speed, left brake light is always on and when I hit the brakes the left brake light turns off and the right one lights up. Would that be a ground issue or?

Any where does your cherokee run on the dash gauge when out on the trail. Thanks, RSWiser
Took my Jeep to a mechanic shop. He did some diagnostics and found that my AC Compressor was struggling to keep up and it was causing the AC to over heat which in turn was causing the radiator to heat up.

Find out Saturday when I go for a trail ride if this did the trick.

Does the frame track bar bracket just come off with the four bolts? And how hard is it to get off without snapping them?
