Yea, i'm looking to install my locker next week and would like to know if i need to buy a 12 pt socket since i don't have one.

Okay I fixed the turn signals the fuse fell out. Still can't figure out the other problem when I go to shut it off it wants to start again. Also on start up after sitting for a while it hesitates but if I let it sit a minute then start it again it'll be fine. I was told fuel filter could use a new one but I don't think that's it. Again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel filter won't cause the issue you're describing. That's a standard suggestion given by uninformed folks who want to appear knowledgeable.

Should you change it just cuz? Sure.

I didn't get as hot but I did get hot. (According to my Ultra Gauage).

My dash gauge showed 210 most of the time. They when I started up the dirt road, climbing but not hard, the dash gauge climbed to the next tic after 210. No where near overheating.

While I was 1 tic over 210 on the dash gauge, my Ultra Gauge go to 238 degrees. I presume it reads from the same sensor and the dash gauge.

How hot is to hot? Any where does your cherokee run on the dash gauge when out on the trail.

Okay so do you have any ideas. Maybe choke related? Anything to do with the carb?

Could be choke, vacuum leaks, worn out tuneup parts......

Nope. No way in hell will a socket get in there! You want a box-end wrench.

Can't remember what it is for D35, I suspect 1/4" 12-point. I don't know what a star wrench is?

Does your rad have enough coolant in it? How much coolant is in your overflow tank?

Tune up was just done. I was just told it could be timing is off.

Radiator was installed new a few months ago. When I replaced the thermostat I topped it off and with a 50/50 mix and burped the system for 30 minutes.

I'm wondering if the guy who did my radiator change did a 50/50 mix. Could straight Anti Freeze cause this?

When out on a slow strain ride where how hot does your cherokee run?

The only low-speed cooling trouble I ever had with my XJ and MJ was from a worn out mechanical fan clutch. You don't have a mechanical fan because you have a Triple Threat electric fan setup. It's possible those aren't drawing enough CFM to keep the rad cool at low speed.

I'd bet money on that if you only have trouble at low speed and not above 15mph. You may want to try some sort of fan shroud (even if it's cardboard for now) to see if that helps.

One other thing I just thought about:
If it only does it at low speed (below 15mph), there is another possibility. If it does it while crawling but NOT while idling, it could be your transmission fluid heating up and causing cooling problems where it intertwines in the radiator. If that's the case, and external transmission cooler may solve it. I haven't seen this happen before, but I suppose it's possible.

so i just discovered our lower rad hoses are supposed to have a spring, needless to say i don't have one. Where can i get one? Advance doesn't sell them with springs in them
