Default Do you have to lift the vehicle in order to replace control arms?

I just saw this video and it's filled me with a bit of hope that I don't have to go back to the shop to adjust the control arms on my jeep. Do any of you know how easy/hard it would be to remove all control arms and re-install adjusted properly with the vehicle on the ground?

You need to jack up the vehicle by the uni-frame. Then you can replace each one at a time, but you need to have the axle free so you can move it around. Also if you start removing control arms while vehicle's the weight is on the axle you'll end up with a Jeep on your head.

As for adjustment, unless you have an angle finder, you'll want to take it for an alignment afterwards.

Easy as long as you chock the wheels and only do one arm at a time.

Are you nervous about lifting the vehicle with a jack and supporting it's weight on stands?

They are most commonly found in 2000-2001 or higher trim levels

Limited trim. Also had heated mirrors in late models

They go back to the early 90s. Briarwood models may have also had them if I recall correctly

Would the limited trims come with the chrysler 8.25? Aiming for a 99 XJ Limited. Getting another one just want to get it perfect this time. Googling and wikipedia are only so specific.

Axles are still mixed. Limited also had heated seats, premium audio, leather interior, and some other options that lower models couldn't get.

If you need to cut some 3/8 (?) Transmission hard line but dont have room near the bends to work a proper tube cutter, can a dremel with cutting wheel be used if the edges are cleaned up?

U really want to risk metal dust getting into the tubes and contaminating your trans fluid?
