Is it a bad idea to buy a used lift. I am inquiring about a Rusty's 4.5" lift. If I find that it is the full spring pack of course I wouldn't go AAL. Would 20,000 mi be a good cutoff or could I go higher?
Or should o avoid it all together?
Thanks,
Jon

There is a grinding noise, like a garbage disposal, coming from my engine. On the passenger side possibly around the a/c compressor or alternator. It's loud enough to hear when driving. The noise is there when the a/c is off, becomes louder under acceleration, and voltage gauge on the dash hasn't changed. Any help would be appreciated fellas.

what would be the amperage for the fusible links attached to the solenoid thingy? i have new ones that you have to put the actual fuse into, and im not sure which one to put in.
Was replacing my intake/exhaust gasket and I went to loosen the rear stud and it wasn't there, so I continued hoping I could use vice grips to get it out, no go.
I tried searching but couldn't find anything on extracting that stud any tips or links would be cool.

I have taken my 89 Cherokee up twice and used the 4wd and both times when I take it out of 4wd it sounds and feels like there is something catching/knocking as I accelerate from a stop. The first time it stopped after a few days, too early this time to tell when and or if it is going to stop. Any ideas as to what it could be? My thought was maybe the 4wd is not completely disengaging/something to do with the hubs?

To start I have a 1998 XJ with 5 inches of lift on 31's.
I have 2 question.
#1 How do you remove a rear nut strip I have the bumper off I just get the nut strip out?
#2 I have a creaking/grinding noise coming from my steering box when I turn left or right. Any ideas on what that could be?
Thanks in advance.
Sean

Can I bypass the a/c with a smaller serpentine belt? If I do this do I have to disconnect anything or is it a plug-n-play???

The problem you could run into if you btpass the AC is the fan belt is routed a certain way to make sure all parts run the correct direction. If you bypass you might make the mistake of something turning the wrong direction. To do it right, you replace the AC with a bypass pully. You can buy one or fab one but you need something there to replace the AC to keep the belt routed correctly.
