Hell, IDK. I heard later harmonic balancers were used without it.

I heard the same thing. Lol I diddnt wanna take the chance so I tore it apart put it in and replaced the timing seal again...
It would be worth it if it would have leaked lol.
One more question. I, without thinking(once again), put my oil pan on after I put the oil pump and pickup on there. I just diddnt think to see if the remanufacturer put a new rear main on the engine. Would I have been able to put the oil pan on without a rear main on there?
Do y'all think the builders put one on there? Scared ima have to rip that oil pan off now too

I'd be surprised if they didn't put one in, it goes under the rear-most main "journal". (Is that the right word for it?) I don't know what it's called but I know what it does haha. That being said, the oil pan would go on just fine if the rms wasn't in there. Though assuming they did most of the reassembly, and the crankshaft was already installed when you got it back, it should be in there. If its not, you'll know pretty quickly once you start it up.

I have a 1996 jeep cherokee country 4.0 and the fuel pump and send unit has gone out and trying to replace it . All parts stores say that they don't have the whole fuel pump and send module but they do have the fuel module for a 1997 jeep cherokee 4.0 is there any reason i can't use this one on my jeep

I'm gonna assume they did, they put the crank shaft and stuff in there so it should be in there too

Sand that area down and see how bad it really is. You will probably have to weld steel plate around that area

Yes, that's structural. Looks like there's some serious rot.
