It's a tamperproof bolt, they tighten down until the head snaps off, then you can't remove them, well easy,'anyway. A left hand drill bit works great. I have only seen them used in 2 places, one was on the steering column on a dodge, the other was a valve cover on the engine of a piece of equipment......RR

Where is this one located??
It's a rivet!!!

Alright guys, do y'all think this is a oil filter adapter leak or just from oil draining out the filter when doing oil changes? Take a look. No oil on oil pan or really anywhere but around the adapter.

I think your OFA seals are beginning to leak.

From the dealer:
1-33002970
1-33002971
1-33002972

If you wanna switch to the later model SAE thread filters, get a 53007563AB while you're at it.

I just did a new adapter on mine with new seals. Opens up a whole new world of filters you can use. Pretty simple and straight foward as well

Yeah I was planning on going to the new thread. I'll stick with my napa gold though, best filter in my opinion

I believe I took a set of clippers to the little wings on mine and then pulled it through. That holds together the bumper corners and lower fascia on a 97+ model bumper.

Yep that's exactly where they're located. I'm gonna drill them out in the morning, or cut them depending on which tool is easier to find.

I just crushed the wings with pliers and ripped em out. Nothing a few fender washers can't fix.
