In unable to identify that, surprisingly. I was under the impression you just wanted to replace one of the leaf springs. Are you planning to buy a whole new lift?
I was thinking more along the lines of just buying whole new leaf spring set ups. Or do I just not know what I'm talking about? Hah as you can see they are sagging so I figured I'd replace the whole thing.
Ill clean it up tomorrow and see if I can find any markings or anything along those lines to identify it. Ill also ask the previous owner.

Sounds good. See what you can find out, and we'll help you make a decision on how to proceed.

Alrighty sounds like a plan. So im guessing it does matter the brand and style of lift to go about buying leaf springs and coils?

Some brands are, to put it bluntly, ****. Others are reasonable, and a few tend to give far more lift than advertised. Don't want you modify your kit, advertised to be 3", with a 2.75" actual-height lift spring on one corner of a lift that actually measures 3.5", or vice versa.

Just trying to help keep it uniform.

Thanks A lot,,,,, I guess I will troubleshoot some in the morning. Love my jeep it kinda has low mileage for a 1997 I have to fix it myself (can't afford) things so I try to do on my own I know how (she/jeep) works but this boggles me all I did was replace the alternator and now it just turns over but just doesn't want to fire. Whereas my old (alt) would do it even though it was going bad,,,,, had to have a quick jump a couple of times so that's when (today) I thought I would change it. Maybe I should have waited but did not want to be stranded. So far one day of missed work (ugh)

So I just asked the previous owner. Its a Rough Country lift with an add a leaf in the rear. He said I should buy a new lift.
I have a budget of about $700, not sure if thats decent enough.

I agree with him. RC falls into the first category in my last post. Zone Offroad is always my suggestion for someone looking for a good kit at a reasonable price.

It isn't the cheapest, and it isn't the best, but it's the cheapest brand I can unreservedly recommend. Get full leaf packs, too. Don't punish yourself with AALs on a new kit.

Zone is a good lift. Their coils can take a beating. Before i did the bumpstops i would come down of the coils good and they hold their stance

x2 on what tim says. what is your opinion on IRO tim? their 3" kit which damien had on his white XJ did really well flexing and all. and it's reasonably priced.

Sounds good I'll take a peak at them and make some choices. Do they come with all the new hardware needed? Im also in the market to swap those out.
How about this?

And if so what should I do about all the choices at the bottom. Im a bit befuddled with it.

I'm a big fan of Iron Rock Offroad. They make good parts at reasonable prices, and they've always treated me well. That said, Zone was considerably cheaper last time I compared them.

The debate about IRO is their Critical Path longarm kit. Their unique design relies on one bolt, but that isn't the case for their smaller short arm lifts.

How would I know whether to choose if I have a Dana 35 or a Chrysler 8.25 rear axle?
Also how would I benefit from adding sway bar disconnects for $99?

I'd lean toward this one:
http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-...erokee/j23-j24

It includes full replacement leaf springs instead of AALs. At the bottom, you need to identify your rear axle (look here), choose if you want the shock upgrade, get the sway bar links if you intend to keep using it, and don't get the shock boots.

Edit: Here's the pic from the link

The advantage to this kit is that it includes Lower Control Arms which you need at that height. Unfortunately, it doesn't include an adjustable trackbar which is also needed.

I think I can swing that.
That jeepz websites server is too busy. It says to try it later.
What would I keep using exactly? The whole lift or the sway bar? I've got a lot to learn.
And whats the deal with this track bar situation?
