can I go to the hardware store and get a bolt or do I need to order it from mopar? its 3/8-16x1-1/4.....other measurement is .375-16x1.25 (im assuming same measurement?
The "beveled" washer is quite important. Hardware store is okay for the bolt.

I'll add that to the mental toolbox, but I'm set up to try without one. Just stovetop tested the thermostat to confirm functionality.

On an 89 4.0....is the furthest back hole on the bottom of the exhaust manifold a stud or actual bolt? got a bolt from a spare renix 4.0 and it wouldn't screw in...old one maybe busted off in the head...hope not...

Right now I'm lifted a little over 4.5" and I'm sitting on 235/75/15. I just bought 32/11.5/15 courser m/ts. I tow every once in a while and I was wondering if I need to regear or if it will get the job done. Its a 98 cherokee c8.25 so I assume that's 3.55 gears. Should I go up to 4.10 or higher?

What do you tow? A regear to 4.10 is basically a waste of time

Why do you say that? I happen to feel that 4:10 is a great gear ration for me to run. The reason is it's fast enuff on dd activities and is also good for mild wheeling that I do.

He says that because it's a very small change for a very large amount of money. To actually regear you're looking at up to $1k. If you go to larger tires in the future that's just pissed away. If you have a line on a cheap set of 4.10:1 axles already then go for it... it's a lot cheaper than gears, setup kit, and either shop labor or tools/time.

An AW4 turning 32s towing junk I would put in 4:56.1. Same other people run on 33s. Don't forget an auxiliary transmission cooler.
