The u-bolt converison on the driveshafts. You know to get rid of the stock/crap way of holding the u-joints on the driveshaft. .

The one form this thread

I know he said to buy the cheap ones in the thread but I wanted to know if the other ones I posted would work because I through them in the internet cart when I bought my U-joints. I know, dumb move but I will say it was late at night and I was thinking a 100%

Technically the joints that those are for have larger caps at the ends that those retainers go on (1 1/8"). The 1330 joints are used for axle conversions to switch between cap diameters. Your caps are all 1 1/16" diameter.

You probably could make them work, but the caps are going to wear out MUCH faster without even pressure on them from the bolts. You should just cut your losses and get the right diameter retainers IMO.

well after looking more, looks like that those are the same thing as the ones you have, and it's the only solution, so i guess it will work.

What u-joint did you get / does it take? Everything i find points to a 1-1/16 bearing cap on each side, which would point to the 2-94-28X kit. http://www.actionmachineinc.com/1310...suboltkit.aspx

i dunno though if everyone uses the other one without issue i guess you'll be fine

I was curious if anyone might know more about this...but I'm in north Carolina and I'm curious about the law on an xj with the doors off. I took mine off for a while and put up some homemade mirrors that worked just fine. But was pulled over because of it. I was told that if a vehicle comes equipped with doors that aren't removable it is illegal to do so. Is there a way to make a Cherokee legal with the doors off?
