How are your fluid levels? All of them. Any contamination of the oils? It didn't stall, but that doesn't mean crap didn't get into it.
Water may have splashed everywhere inside. I know all connectors should be waterproof but water may have seeped in overnight and causing shorts. check your distributor cap. water can get in there as well and sit where the cam position sensor is.
I would check the relays under the hood and everything around them. Your best friend would be pressurized air anywhere water could sit.

Check those out and get back.

good luck

Although im curious about your temp guage not getting up to 210. May be staying open the thermostat
Must've just been wet guys, 'cause when I went out to start it up this morning, it cranked right up without issue. No more CEL, but the temp is still not getting up to optimal...

It's a 92 cherokee 4.0L - has OBDI and I don't have a reader for it so I wasn't able to find out what the light was for. THere is a "maintenance required" light that has been on since I replaced the guage cluster... I'm pretty sure that's for the 4wd system thuogh (which doesn't exist right now) so I probably just going to pull that bulb.

There are no codes for anythig to do with 4x4. That MIL means there's a code waiting for you.

Can you convert a 88 4 Dr xj with vent wing windows to have just a single larger window and remove the wing windows?

Is there a writeup or list of what's needed for the swap?

Yeah, install 97+ doors. New hinges and strikers.

I've got one with a broke hinge and the other closes when you open item is much rather have a larger window. If you have driven a 2dr xj compared to a 4 door you realize how little the windows actually are in a 4dr. I miss the openness with my 2dr.

Is that a simple swap? I believe I'd need to put in a new striker plate since the newer models have a square loop style I believe.

I read an article on JP mag a couple years ago where they replaced the whole door with the latest generation xj. They had to relocate the latch (on the jeep obciously)but everything else fit fine.... Unobstructed view of the mirror and they are bigger too.
I'm sure they have an online version of article if you can make it past their crappy search engine.

The late model mirrors bolt right up to the pre-97 doors, FYI.
