[QUOTE=straightsixjeep;2246831]What is your gear ratio?
d35 may need pinion bearing http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/3546244984.html
I do not know my gear ratio. I've been reading to try and figure it out. I thought since I have an upcountry, that I would have lower gears but I don't think that's always the case.
I already have a D35.

Sorry, that one kinda confuses me. I already have a D30

You have a Low Pinion D30 if it's late model. Earlier models have stronger High Pinion D30s.

Oh your profile says "I4." If it was a 4cyl you would have 4.56 gear ratio with the up country.
You have 3.73 gear ratio
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Cherokee_(XJ)
(if the link doesnt take you to the page directly hit "did you mean jeep cherokee," then scroll down to the axle gear ratios)
edit: its either 3.55 or 3.73. Really need to double check because wiki isnt always reliable.
