The 0331 head hasn't caused issues yet (knock on wood).
Thanks.

...since I always plan for the long term though, you're kind of saying to check for an 0331 head (and no, I dunno what that means yet, but I'll google it in a few minutes), and be prepared to replace it with, uh, somethin'?

I kind of get the HP vs. LP issue (from what I just read in the thread: thanks, Dukie), but since I'm a dd'er (this would be a second dd: probably selling the more valuable Wrangler to help buy a house), I dunno if that will matter to me at all, at all.

ADDED: Re: 0331 head. Got it. Ain't google grand. I'm now probably competent enough to check for the 0331 problem too. And if I do find evidence of it, shave the asking price LOL.

From my understanding though, a locker like spartan in the front will leave the axle open until in 4wd. Once in 4wd it is fully locked, but thats from my understanding.
the axle will be unlocked when making turns (coasting) and in 2wd.
the axle will be locked when on the power and in 4wd

Thats exactly what i thought. But he was tellin me thats not possible since the locker locks it and the gears spin and will lock regardless. He was getting really mad too lol. Ill tell him im right haha.

Look up how the automatic lunchbox style lockers work and it should become evident. Its torque from the driveshaft that keeps the two halves locked together. No 4x4 = no torque = ratchet action. If you put one up on stands though it will seem to be locked if you spin the wheels by hand.

I didn't think of this earlier, but a big issue may be emissions gear. Coil packs I don't see worth mentioning as a problem TBH, it's only because of they imply a 0331 head that they're relevant.

In 2000 Federal Emissions was the same as previous. California Emissions have 4 O2s and 3 cats. The mini cats in the manifold lead to heat soak issues and the whole system is more restrictive and costly to repair. I'm not sure if this was the same in 2001 or if the Cali-style was adopted across the board. I believe WJs and TJs went the same route too.

Mine does the same. Same as work van. And if you drive without seatbelt it keeps beeping

Im currently having a problem my jeep is showing a p1493 but I did a head swap about 3 weeks ago could it be that I didn't connect one of the ground that bolts to the head back on? It was fine till I did the swap.
