It's there to help insulate & primarily to keep water, dust & moisture away from your wires & electronics (if you have any). The door panel does not do that. If you decide you don't want it, remove it carefully & send to me. I might be able to make it work for my '92.

I'm removeing my engine, when unbolting the flex plate do I need to mark it in anyway? Or does it matter what position it is in when putting it back together?

I have a 90 2 door and started to replace a blown blower fuse, noticed a rather large fuse that I am not familiar with. I pull the thing out to inspect it since it is rusty and probably still factory. Upon pulling it out of one of the prongs broke off. Took a key and scratched off some rust and read 48 amp 12 volt, my question is, is it a fuse or a circuit breaker?

as long as the manual is an ax15 then it has a 23spline output, same as aw4's. (well, the early aw4's were 21, but im certain 91+ are 23spline.)
Hey all! I hijacked my husbands log in so we could ask a question of you Jeep savvy people! We just bought a 90 XJ a couple of weeks ago. The guy we bought it from had lost the key but had it jimmy rigged so it would start and drive like the key was there the whole time. Well, my husband has since LOCKED the ignition and now we can't start the poor girl up. Does anyone know a way to bypass the steering wheel locking mechanism so that we can unlock the steering wheel and the gear shifter so that it's not just sitting on the side of our house and so we can get it back on the road?
FYI we're legit and not trying to steal a Jeep...
Thank you so much for everyone's help! It'll be much appreciated and I will be a MUCH happier wife once I hear our little baby purr again
Please PM us, just so the info isn't up for the world to see, unless you just want to reply... Up to you. Thanks again!
