I dont even know how to use a normal multimeter.. Found the fluke in a bucket at the house when i moved, batteries in it were even still good. Would the guide from a basic multimeter be useful if you have a fluke?

The symbols from top to bottom are
Amps
Ohms
Dc volts
Ac volts
Just turn the dial to what you want to measure and it will say on the screen what it s set to. You will use the dc and ohms settings on a vehicle.

Usually when 1-3 settings don't work and 4 does, it's the blower motor resistor. But, since yours is blowing the fuse, it could be the plug on the back of the switch has melted. What year is your XJ? I just learned that the earlier models up to 96 were prone to melting.
Its a 96 jeep cherokee classic
And im sorry if i replied a few times my computer had a hiccup and im not sure what post made it up there....but i didnt see it on there so im trying here again.

My only problem is he says to buy digital because analog is outdated. We know, however, that analog is often needed on our lovely Renix circuits to check for sweep.

Analog is great for sweep. But, I've never had a TPS issue that I dind't find with a digital meter yet.

There's a good chance your blower motor resistor melted, as he said. Just happened to my buddy 96xjclassic a few months ago.

ok, now i have heard it both ways that i would have to replace the resister or just replace the wires....and do i have to take apart my dash to find the resistor cords or are they under the hood?
