This! I don't know of any IFS or TTB XJ builds, but it's certainly possible and likely has been done.

350 SBC is the most common non-AMC motor swap into XJs and Wranglers. You can buy complete conversion kits.

The 5.3 blows I'd say 5.7

or do a 383 stroker

I looked and couldn't find the answer, so I want to know how much weight each axle type can take before breaking.

We generally base axle on the planned tire size and whether or not you plan to use a locker.

Pretty sure the 5.3 is the same engine as a ls engine, only difference is the block material.

All the 4x4 shows recommend the 5.3 due to its easyily swappable ls parts. And there everywhere in junkyards. Id rather a 5.3 over a 350sbc. Just my .02
