How does this sound? When i put on my new muffler im going to get a turn down and dump it before the rear axle and use the factory hanger above the axle and make a homemade hanger system... Or is that a rickety idea?

Point it out the side with a 90* bend. You'll thank me. Pointing it down causes the sound to reverberate up into the cabin.

Thats also i something i was wondering about because i know it would reverb off of the ground and make it louder but also do that... Im more concerned with my hanger idea if its too rickety to do lol

No problem. It's a metal bracket made from an old shelving system. Hard to explain and sounds redneck but you'll see it when I send you the pic

I have one of my xjs set up like that and its stock height and its turned down towards the ground. It does amplify the sound but makes the inside very loud. When you make phone calls inside while driving it distorts the calls and everything. I will be doing a 90 bend out the side as soon as I get a chance in the weeks coming up.

I'd say from experience point it out rather than down, but if your lifted it might not be as bad???? I don't know. Mine dumps right before the axle btw.

How to make more power.
I have a 1999 Cherokee Sport with the I6, Automatic trans.
I have installed a new heavy duty front bumper and a winch.
With these installs I notice the weight in my performance.

What mods can I do the will increase my power output without damaging my engine?

Novice mechanic, so please be specific.

Thanks.
