X2. On the fire wall in engine bay, pass side, check the fuse able links for damage. Then start tracing wires. Start around the exhaust manifolds.

Broken/exposed wire touching another wire or a ground. Or a loose ground wire not completing the circuit or corrosion (hate the NE) in my case.
Blown fuse is the first clue.

Since it already happened, look for black spots, like someone said above, and see if there's an exposed wire. It should rub off, like the black crap you see on the trailers of Semi trucks behind the stacks, can't figure out how to spell it lol.

Your lift is one of the most unsafe things I've heard of anyone doing to an XJ. That's why you're catching a lot of flak.

And he made a good point about the headlight switch. If they commonly go wrong, why buy one that is likely either already bad or going bad?

Some guys here are total d-bags (they will remain unnamed), but must of us use sarcasm a lot xD.

The older guys (I'm 19 myself) usually get pissed off at people who have unsafe setups, but their intentions are good hearted.

Henny, we are *******s. The difference is we explain what's wrong. Pirate just tells you to sell your vehicle and hang yourself.
