Cool No gauge lights all of a sudden

So I was doing some tinkering on the xj yesterday and now I have no gauge lights. The fuse is good and my parking/headlights work so I'm guessig that the switch is still good. I didn't touch anything remotely close to the gauge lights but I did replace the positive battery cable going to the power distribution block.

Am I missing something? Is there an underhood relay specifically for the gauge lights?

did you for sure connect every single wire back into the cable end? done that before... also make sure you didnt dim your gauge lights all the way down... i thought i lost gauge lights for like 2 months before i realised i only cut them down somehow... lol

anybody else? is there anything else that I could check out?

I noticed online that there is a dimmer switch and a headlight switch for our cars; i thought the dimmer was integrated into the headlight switch?

I have had the actual headlight switch be the cause of dash light loss all of a sudden. I had a spare and switched them which cured my dash light problem.
