Quote: Yep.....well only if you count engines like this....lol. those are two different cars, engine shot is my 66 deuce, and the other is an outlaw 10.5 car, most competitive class in drag racing. Unlimited HP, but has to be put down thru a 10.5" wide tire. That car there has in the neighborhood of 8000 HP. We've been racing nhra since the 60's. I also stayed in a holiday inn express last night!! Lol
8000 HP?! If thats accurate then HOLY ****! Ive never heard of anything that gody but,....

This x1000. A little manual labor can never hurt anything. I would be completely scepticle using anything like this on a proven motor that can last 400k plus. To me this is something they do before they take them apart and rebuild them KNOWING seals and bearings will be replaced/lubed.

Quote: Did u check how far it was from pan bottom?
For some reason my replys and such are not going through from my phone.

Anyway for the OP a good way to check your distance from the bottom of the pan is a peice of clay in the bottom of the pan where the tube comes down, hold the pan tight to the block and let the tube indent the clay. Not sure if its been said yet.

Ten psi per thousand rpm is minimum to be safe. Not ideal but safe.
