Yep.....well only if you count engines like this....lol. those are two different cars, engine shot is my 66 deuce, and the other is an outlaw 10.5 car, most competitive class in drag racing. Unlimited HP, but has to be put down thru a 10.5" wide tire. That car there has in the neighborhood of 8000 HP. We've been racing nhra since the 60's. I also stayed in a holiday inn express last night!! Lol

Anyway for the OP a good way to check your distance from the bottom of the pan is a peice of clay in the bottom of the pan where the tube comes down, hold the pan tight to the block and let the tube indent the clay. Not sure if its been said yet.

Mine has over 20 at a hot idle, 60 driving. Im just letting him know whats safe minimum. Ive had em that drop to zero at hot idle and run fine. But 10 psi per thousand rpm is safe.Originally Posted by jeepsurfer1
